| The action of subtractive color-film dyes. The Color of each dye is complementary to one of the primary colors (red, green, blue). The purpose of each dye (cyan, magenta, yellow) is to regulate amount of one of the primary colors passing through film without affecting transmission of the remaining two. | ||
