John Bailey, ASC will introduce a screening of German director F.W. Murnau’s Faust (1926) at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, 5905 Wilshire Blvd, Oct. 17 at 7:30 p.m.
The screening is part of a double feature and will be followed by a new digital restoration of Czech filmmaker and stop-motion specialist Jan Svankmajer's Faust (1994):
The event is part of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences' screening series "Haunted Screens: Expressionism in the German Cinema and Its Influences."
Tickets are $5 general admission, $3 for students (with ID) and Academy members.
