Sachtler Launches Ace Mk II Systems
Ace M and Ace XL Mk II fluid heads are now available.
Sachtler has launched the Ace M Mk II and Ace XL Mk II, the latest generation of its Ace fluid-head systems.
The Ace M Mk II is broadcast-quality camera support in a lightweight, simple system. Weighing 9.7 pounds and able to support payloads of up to 8.8 pounds, it includes an aluminum tripod with carry handle and choice of spreader. The fluid head offers smooth drag adjustments and five steps of fast counterbalance.
The Ace XL Mk II is designed for digital cine-style cameras, supporting payloads of up to 17.6 pounds and offering an extra four steps of counterbalance. It features an illuminated level bubble and a removable threaded stud that enables users to easily swap from a tripod to a slider. The head is available in a range of tripod systems, including Sachtler’s Flowtech75.
All 75mm tripods sold with Ace Mk II now feature three 3/8" mounting points on the tripod bowl, enabling easy attachment of such accessories as a Magic Arm, lights and the Ace carry handle. Standard features of the Ace Mk II systems include the carry handle and carry case, and an additional detachable Flowtech-style mid-level spreader is available separately.
The Sachtler Ace Mk II fluid-head range is available as a head only or as part of a tripod system.
