Shape Unveils Nikon ZR Creator Kit
An array of 1/4-20 and 3/8-16 threaded holes with anti-twist Arri-style locating patterns provides multiple options for mounting accessories.
The Shape Nikon ZR Creator Rig is built from CNC-machined aluminum and has been engineered to protect and expand the functionality of the Nikon ZR camera.
The camera is securely mounted to the cage using a 1/4-20 screw. An array of 1/4-20 and 3/8-16 threaded holes with anti-twist Arri-style locating patterns provides multiple options for mounting accessories. A NATO-rail side design enables tool-free attachment of compatible side handles, clamps or other NATO-mounted accessories. A built-in cold shoe receiver on top allows convenient mounting of mics, wireless receivers or compact lights, and the integrated HDMI lock system ensures a secure cable connection.
At the base, the cage incorporates an Arca Swiss quick-release plate, enabling transitions between gimbal, tripod and handheld configurations without the need for additional plates or adapters. By installing the Arca Swiss plate on the right side of the cage, the cage can be combined to its baseplate in a 9x16 shooting setup. The cage’s intelligent design maintains full access to all essential camera controls, input/output ports, memory-card slot and battery compartment. All original functions, including the top handle and accessory ports, remain fully usable while the camera is mounted inside the cage.
