Sigma Announces 18-50mm DC DN Contemporary for Fujifilm X Mount
The compact lens offers a zoom range of 27-75mm in the 35mm format and an aperture of F2.8 throughout the entire range.
Sigma Corp. of America has announced the 18-50mm F2.8 DC DN Contemporary lens for Fujifilm X Mount mirrorless cameras.
This expands Sigma’s lineup for X Mount, joining the 16mm, 30mm and 56mm F1.4 DC DN Contemporary lenses announced earlier this year. The company has developed a control algorithm, including AF drive and communication-speed optimization, specifically for X Mount interchangeable lenses. In addition to realizing high-speed AF, the lens also supports AF-C (Continuous AF) and in-camera aberration correction. The mount is rubber-sealed to facilitate use in a variety of environments.
The lens offers a zoom range of 27-75mm in the 35mm format and an aperture of F2.8 throughout the entire range, a minimum focusing distance of 4.7", and a maximum magnification of 1:2.8.
The Sigma 18-50mm F2.8 DC DN Contemporary lens for Fujifilm X Mount will be available in December and will list for $549. Mount Conversion Service will be available to convert other mounts of the lens to X Mount.
