Roger Deakins, ASC, BSC Honored at Manaki Film Festival
The cinematographer is this year’s laureate of the Golden Camera 300 Award for Lifetime Achievement.
Roger Deakins, ASC, BSC will be honored at this year’s Manaki Brothers International Cinematographers Film Festival as the laureate of the Golden Camera 300 Award for Lifetime Achievement. The festival, organized by the Macedonian Film Professionals Association, is the first and oldest festival dedicated to celebrating the art and craft of cinematography.
“The outstanding number of 115 various international cinema awards and 148 nominations only serves to prove the greatness of our latest laureate,” said festival art director Blagoja Kunovski – Dore.
ASC members who have previously been honored with the Golden Camera 300 Award for Lifetime Achievement include Giuseppe Rotunno, John Seale, Chris Menges, Luciano Tovoli, Dante Spinotti, Vilmos Zsigmond, Peter Suschitzky, Michael Ballhaus and Vittorio Storaro.
The festival will take place September 22–29 in Bitola, Republic of Macedonia.
