Fallout began as a postapocalyptic role-playing video game for your computer back in 1997, created by Tim Cain and Leonard Boyarsky at Interplay Entertainment. Following the first three games (Fallout, Fallout 2 and Fallout Tactics), the franchise found its way to a wider audience with Fallout 3 (2004) when it moved to Xbox and PlayStation 2. To date, there are now almost a dozen games in the series, with a 12th — Fallout 5 — announced to be in development.
