UPDATED: Dickerson, Schliessler and Totino Set to Teach Upcoming ASC Master Class
The session will take place Sept. 16-20 in Los Angeles, with the opening day scheduled for the historic Clubhouse in Hollywood.
The American Society of Cinematographers’ in-person Master Class program is designed for cinematographers with an intermediate-to-advanced skill set. The program provides live demonstrations of lighting and camera techniques, instruction in current workflow practices, and analysis of feature films. This five-day seminar is taught in Los Angeles by some of the finest directors of photography in the world.
Confirmed instructors for our upcoming September session will include Tobias Schliessler, ASC (Dreamgirls, Beauty and the Beast, All the Light We Cannot See) and Sal Totino, ASC, AIC (Everest, The Offer, Spider-Man: Homecoming). Both will teach lighting and camera techniques for a full day each.
SEPT. 5 UPDATE: Cinematographer and veteran director Ernest Dickerson, ASC has joined this class as an instructor. Well known for his camerawork in films including Do the Right Thing, Jungle Fever and Malcolm X, he has also directed numerous features and TV series including The Walking Dead, Treme and Bosch.
