Arri Introduces Orbiter Beam

The solution is the first beam optic in the company’s LED-lighting portfolio.

ASC Staff

Arri has announced the Orbiter Beam, further expanding the accessory range for the LED spotlight.

Available now for preorder, the solution is the first beam optic in Arri’s LED-lighting portfolio. Its intensity level has a comparable output to the Arri Daylight M-Series M18 within a tighter beam angle. It’s suited to both long throw distances and indirect bounce.

The optic provides a defined 4° parallel light beam with homogenous light. The unique look of this optic in combination with the Orbiter fixture makes it ideal for simulating the natural light of the sun or moon.

The Orbiter Beam features a large aperture in a compact (approximately 22.6" x 21.6" x 21.6") and lightweight (13-pound) housing. The reflector’s 20.9" diameter is similar in size to the M90 luminaire. The two elements of the optic — the reflector and snoot — can be easily separated and stacked for storage and transport. No additional accessories for the Orbiter Beam are required.

Any Orbiter running the firmware LiOS2 or later can operate the Orbiter Beam.
