Blackcam Robotics has launched the RP1 Robotic Pedestal and the Arro2 Modular Robotic Arm.

The RP1 is designed to meet the needs of fast-paced production settings such as news studios. With a payload capacity of 132 pounds and multi-directional wheels, RP1 can glide through studios at up to 10" a second while carrying a range of equipment. Its features include a 7" touchscreen display, digital lens control for Fujinon and Canon systems, and an integrated 48-volt power supply for cameras, prompters and converters.

Arro2, Blackcam’s latest robotic arm, weighs 176 pounds and can maneuver through a 12'-diameter 3D space and rotate 360 degrees with near-silent precision, allowing mounted cameras to capture dynamic shots during sports, newscasts and more. The modular design facilitates setup in less than 30 minutes and compatibility with many broadcast cameras and lens systems.

Arro2 has a payload capacity of 37 pounds at 6' length and scales accordingly with adjustments. (It is capable of reaching up to 7'.) Featuring dual operation in manual and automatic modes, it offers the ability to pre-program movements or control them in real time.
