Elation Lighting’s Proteus Atlas is an IP66-rated beam-effects fixture designed for large-scale indoor and outdoor productions.

Its 500-watt Laser Illuminated Lighting Instrument engine produces a bright, dense, Xenon-style beam (0.6-degree, zoomable to 8.5-degree) with sharp definition. It outputs 1,000,000 Lux at 66' (100,000 Lux at 330'); the narrow beam projects from a 12.5" front lens as a column of light, adding impact to any event or environment. The LILI engine offers a 12,000-hour lifespan without significant degradation in brightness or quality.

Features include full CMY color mixing and a 25-position color wheel; 13 interchangeable-rotating/indexing metal gobos and 26 static-stamped metal gobos; multiple prisms divided between overlapping planes that split beams in virtually unlimited combinations; beam control via a zoom and focus lens array, and 360-degree pan movement.

Elation’s Sky Motion system enables the Atlas to operate as a searchlight effect without the need for a dedicated lighting controller. Multiple fixtures can be interconnected, and movement patterns are adjustable in size, speed and color directly from the display. Sky Motion is easy to set up and adjust directly from the fixture display. The fixture’s aluminum shell and marine-grade coating provide operational reliability in demanding environments.
