A total of 14 new models will be introduced and available with PL- and LPL-mount options.

Leitz will showcase its first set of zoom lenses and a new set of prime lenses at NAB next week.

There are two new Leitz Zooms: 25-75mm and 55-125mm (both T2.8).

The new Leitz Primes are available in 12 focal lengths: 18mm, 21mm, 25mm, 29mm, 35mm, 40mm, 50mm, 65mm, 75mm, 100mm and 135mm ( all T1.8) and 180mm (T2).

The new lenses are available with PL- and LPL-mount options, including metadata interface Cooke /i and Arri LDS-2.

To improve the lenses’ close-focus capabilities, Leitz has also created new achromatic diopters, Macrolux114. Like Macrolux 95, the Macrolux 114 will be available in +0, 5,+1 and +2 strengths. They will fit lenses with a 114mm   front  diameter   and  are   stackable. Additionally, step-down rings to  either 110mm or  95mm  make the diopters usable on those front diameters.

Both sets of new lenses are color-matched with each other and feature minimal breathing, exceptionally low distortion and no visible chromatic aberrations. Other key features of the Leitz Zooms are that there is no light loss (ramping) over the entire zoom range, and they are parfocal.
