Onyx 4.32, the latest iteration of Obsidian Control Systems’ lighting-control software for NX consoles and PC systems, features such enhancements as faster cue control, smarter pixel mapping and timecode support via standard audio input.

With Cue List Tracking, users can skip over cues while keeping the show running smoothly, ideal for complex theater programming. Parameters can now also be released in cues within a cue list. LTC timecode can now be received through a standard line-level audio input, eliminating the need for additional hardware — especially beneficial for Onyx PC and NX1 users. And a quick double-tap of the respective key sets Onyx into Fade or Delay mode.

Onyx’s DyLOS pixel composer has been enhanced with new features, including control-mode selection for DyLOS Zones, “gobo mapping” support for applying media to individual fixtures, and group masking to exclude up to two user-defined groups from a DyLOS Zone using logic modifiers. The 2D Plan now features a convenient mini-map for easier navigation, allowing users to locate their position, along with enhanced zoom capabilities, quickly.
