Launched at IBC 2017, Miller offers latest series of robust CX2, CX6, CX8, CX10 and CX18 tripod heads.
Designed for speed, balance and strength, Miller Camera Support Equipment’s new CompassX family of fluid heads feature the “CB Plus” 16-step counterbalance technology with side-loading base plate for fast mounting and alignment flexibility when switching cameras or adding accessories.
Supporting up to 8kg (17.6lbs) on the CX2 and 12kg (26.5 lbs) on the CX 6, both offer 3+0 pan-and-tilt drag positioning with 75mm ball mount for lighter rigs. For more leverage in fluid drag, the CX8 and CX10 have 5+0 pan-and-tilt drag positions as well as 0-12kg payload range. They differ with a 75mm and 100mm ball level base respectively. Finally, the flagship CX18 has a more robust 16kg payload range and 100mm ball leveling mount. It also tops off with 5+0 pan-and-tilt of drag.
Founded in 1954, Miller designs, manufactures and delivers fluid heads and tripods to the professional film and television industry. They obtained the first patent for fluid head design for film cameras in 1946. Follow them on Twitter and Facebook.
