2016 Berlinale to Honor Ballhaus
The famed German cinematographer has been a frequent guest of the festival over the years.
Michael Ballhaus, ASC, BVK, will be honored with a Golden Bear for lifetime achievement and a 10-film retrospective at the 2016 Berlin International Film Festival. The festival will take place Feb. 11-21, and Ballhaus will receive his award on Feb. 18.

3096 Tage (3096 Days, 2013, director: Sherry Hormann)
The German cinematographer has been a frequent guest of the festival over the years. He served as president of the International Jury in 1990, and he received the Berlinale Camera for his unique contribution to film in 2006.
