Adam Bricker Welcomed as New ASC Member

The cinematographer has earned multiple ASC Award and Emmy nominations for his camerawork.

Based in Los Angeles, Adam Bricker, ASC is originally from Chicago, where he was raised on a film diet that included The Fugitive, Jurassic Park and City Slickers. His first camera was a MiniDV Handycam, a gift from his parents for his 13th birthday, and his first credits included the shorts he shot starring his three younger sisters. He then studied digital cinema at DePaul University before going on to graduate from the USC School of Cinematic Arts, where he fell in love with cinematography.


Bricker’s most recent work includes the comedy series Hacks (HBO Max; for which he earned two ASC Award and two Emmy nominations), the long-running international culinary-doc series Chef’s Table (Netflix; for which he earned an ASC nomination and an Emmy monination), and the true-crime mockumentary show American Vandal (Netflix).



His other series work includes #BlackAF, Sorry for Your Loss and Brockmire.


His feature work has premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and South by Southwest.
