ASC Congratulates 2020 BAFTA Award Nominees

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts announced the nominees for all categories of the 73rd British Academy Film Awards.

The year’s nominees for Best Cinematography are:

Roger Deakins, ASC, BSC for 1917

Rodrigo Prieto, ASC, AMC for The Irishman

Lawrence Sher, ASC for Joker

Phedon Papamichael, ASC, GSC for Ford v Ferrari (known in Europe as Le Mans ’66)

Jarin Blaschke for The Lighthouse

Winners will be announced at the BAFTA Awards gala on February 2 at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

This year’s BAFTA nominees are identical to the ASC Awards Theatrical Release category nominees, with the exception of Blaschke. The ASC instead nominated Robert Richardson, ASC for his work on One Upon a Time… in Hollywood. Blaschke was nominated in the Spotlight category for his work on The Lighthouse.
