David Klein Now Curating ASC’s Instagram
The cinematographer is perhaps best known for working with writer-director Kevin Smith on the films Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Clerks II, Zack and Miri Make a Porno, Cop Out and Red State.
David Klein, ASC is hosting the ASC Instagram account for the months of August and September. He takes over following a popular run by Shelly Johnson, ASC.
Klein is currently preparing to shoot the sixth season of the Showtime series Homeland, for which he recently earned a 2016 Emmy Award nomination for his expert camerawork. He has been shooting the show since 2013. He'll be documenting his prep for and the production of the new season.
The cinematographer is perhaps best known for working with writer-director Kevin Smith on the films Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Clerks II, Zack and Miri Make a Porno, Cop Out and Red State. The two filmmakers met as students at the Vancouver Film School. Klein's other credits include the series Pushing Daisies, True Blood and the Navy SEALs drama Six.
Klein became a member of the ASC in 2009.
