Eliza, (Sally Hawkins) is about to discover something incredible.

Dan Laustsen ASC, DFF will be the featured guest and speaker at the ASC Clubhouse on Tuesday, October 3, from 1:30-4:00pm, during a Coffee & Conversation discussion focusing on his work in the fanciful sci-fi-flavored drama The Shape of Water:

In 1962, a mute janitor and her colleague work in a government laboratory and eventually discover an amphibious creature in a water tank. The janitor, out of loneliness, befriends the creature and falls in love.

The picture was directed by Guillermo del Toro and stars Sally Hawkins, Michael Shannon, Doug Jones, Richard Jenkins, Michael Stuhlbarg and Octavia Spencer. It premiered at the Venice Film Festival in August, where it was awarded the Golden Lion for Best Film.

Dan Laustsen’s other credits include Crimson Peak and Mimic (both directed by del Toro), Silent Hill and John Wick: Chapter 2. He was nominated for the Camerimage Golden Frog for his work on I Am Dina. We are pleased to welcome him to the ASC Clubhouse for this exclusive event.

Entry is FREE, but you must RSVP to [email protected] or call 323-969-4333 to save a seat.

The ASC Clubhouse is located at 1782 North Orange Dr., Hollywood, CA 90028
