Khondji, Lubezki Nominated for Spirit Awards
ASC members Darius Khondji and Emmanuel Lubezki have been nominated for 2015 Film Independent Spirit Awards for Best Cinematography. Khondji is nominated for The Immigrant, and Lubezki is nominated for Birdman.
Also nominated are cinematographers Sean Porter, for It Felt Like Love; Lyle Vincent, for A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night; and Bradford Young, for Selma.
The awards will be presented Feb. 21.
American Cinematographer covered A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night in April '14, The Immigrant in June '14, and Birdman in Dec. '14. The magazine will cover Selma in Feb. '15.
