McGarvey to Interview Wexler at EIFF
Seamus McGarvey, ASC, BSC will conduct a conversation with Haskell Wexler, ASC at the Edinburgh International Film Festival on June 26 at 5:30 p.m.
The conversation will be preceded by a screening of Wexler’s 2006 revealing documentary Who Needs Sleep?.
The film examines the vital issues of extreme sleep depravation among film crew workers, the resulting social dysfunction and the vital need to change the film production culture.
A longtime EIFF patron, McGarvey has interviewed several fellow cinematographers at the festival, including ASC members Anthony Dod Mantle, Roger Deakins, Chris Menges and Darius Khondji.
