Middleburg Film Festival to Host Spinotti
The cinematographer is a two-time Academy Award nominee, for L.A. Confidential and The Insider. His credits include The Last of the Mohicans, Heat, Wonder Boys and The Family Man.
Dante Spinotti, ASC, AIC, will receive the Middleburg Film Festival's Distinguished Cinematographer Award and will also present his latest feature, I Saw the Light, in October.
The festival will run Oct. 22-25. The full program will be announced Oct. 1.
Spinotti is a two-time Academy Award nominee for L.A. Confidential and The Insider. His credits also include The Last of the Mohicans, Heat, Wonder Boys and The Family Man. He received ASC Award nominations for The Last of the Mohicans, L.A. Confidential and The Insider, and he was honored with the ASC Lifetime Achievement Award in 2012.
Directed by Marc Abraham, I Saw the Light tells the story of country-western singer/songwriter Hank Williams. It will open in limited release Nov. 27.
