Roger Deakins: Persistent Vision Opens in L.A.

The stills exhibit Roger Deakins: Persistent Vision, featuring an array of frame grabs selected by the cinematographer, has opened at the AMC Century City 15 movie theater, 10250 Santa Monica Blvd., and will be on display through Jan. 8. Admission is free and open to the public.

The exhibit consists of frame grabs from Deakins’ camerawork in The Man Who Wasn't There, The Shawshank Redemption, No Country for Old Men, The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, Skyfall and Unbroken, as well as unit photography of Deakins at work on various productions. 

The exhibit was organized by Unbroken distributor Universal Pictures.




Deakins was on hand for the opening reception yesterday and was joined by colleagues Joel and Ethan Coen, Brad Pitt, Josh Brolin and Haskell Wexler, ASC, among others.
