Arri has announced the Alexa 35 Software Update 1.3.0, additional Configuration Overviews for the Alexa 35 Live, a Reference Tool update and a Camera Control Monitor CCM-1 Ethernet Adapter.

Alexa 35 v1.3.0 contains a new recording format (ProRes 3.8K 16:9) and improvements to the Audio Extension Module, as well as enhancements to WiFi performance and to frame-by-frame metadata. Users should note that for AEM-1 output monitoring to work, the AEM-1 must be updated to AEM-1 v1.1G.

Arri has added three Configuration Overviews for the Alexa 35 Live Multicam System.

Arri Reference Tool v1.5.0 includes a more sophisticated ArriRaw debayering engine (ADA 7SW), which delivers more accurate color reproduction and preservation of detail, especially in areas with subtle color gradients. Images created by the new debayer engine are visually compatible with images created with the previous engine for Alexa 35 ArriRaw, ADA 7HW, which continues to be used in the camera for some functions. ART 1.5.0 also includes numerous bug fixes and general stability improvements.

The CCM-1 Ethernet Adapter enables simultaneous use of MVF-2 and CCM-1 on the Alexa 35 and Mini LF and provides basic camera control (no menu access) on the Amira and Alexa Mini. With the adapter and WiFi gear attached, users can also turn the CCM-1 into a wireless control device.
