Arri to Release Anniversary-Edition M18
Only 500 commemorative fixtures will be available, and they will begin shipping next month.
Arri will release a special limited-edition M18 lamphead in August to mark the fixture’s 10th anniversary. Only 500 units will be available.
The lamphead will feature the anniversary logo on its housing.
Presented for the first time at the 2009 IBC trade show in Amsterdam, the M18 is a compact, powerful, 1,800-watt daylight lamphead combining the Academy Award-winning optical system of the ArriMax with the design of the True Blue Series.
Recently, the M18 was used on the feature films Dunkirk and Sauerkrautkoma, as well as the series Dark, The Alienist and Parfum. No significant changes have been made to the certified system over the past 10 years, according to Arri.
The M18 is adjustable from 20 degrees to 60 degrees and, like all M-Series luminaires, does not require any drop-in lenses. Operation is possible without a generator almost anywhere in the world using household plugs. The weatherproof fixture meets IP23 requirements and is therefore ideally suited for outdoor use.
