Astera Releases LunaBulb
The LED-based solution is designed to look like a conventional lightbulb and screws directly into an AC-wired bulb socket.
Astera has announced the LunaBulb.
Designed to resemble a conventional lightbulb, the LED-based solution draws 3.5 watts and is available with an E26, E27 and B22 fitting. It screws directly into an AC-wired bulb socket.
Users can adjust both white levels (1,750-20,000K) and color (RGB, Mint and Amber, with RGB, HIS, XY and Filter Gel color-selection options). The bulb can be converted quickly from a classic bulb — ideal for practical-lighting applications — to a slim-line bulb that can be inserted into a variety of lamps and spaces. The conversion is achieved by attaching or detaching the “classic” dome over the slim-line bulb using a spring-loaded clip.
Wireless control can be accomplished via CRMX, the Astera app, BTB link or Astera’s White and FX remotes. Configuration is achieved using the Astera LunaBulb PrepCase, which holds up to eight bulbs. The PrepCase is also available as a PrepInlay, granting users the flexibility to build the inlay (without its protective box) into their own setups. Because the PrepCase and PrepInlay are battery-powered, the bulbs can be configured before arriving on site.
