The scene-layout app can be used for motion-picture and still-photography shoots.

Still photographer Dick Reed has created the app Camera-Storyboard, an interactive tool for planning photography and motion-picture shoots.

Scene objects can be created in the app and laid over any screen grab of a bird’s-eye view, whether it’s a Google Earth image, a drone shot, an architectural drawing or even a sketch made on a cocktail napkin. Users can note camera angles, sun positions, necessary equipment and crew, on-screen talent, weather reports and more and then share the file with collaborators.

Camera-Storyboard costs $14.99 and can be downloaded from the Apple Store.
