DJI has introduced the Power 2000 Portable Power Station.

Rechargeable to 80 percent in 55 minutes, expandable up to 22,528Wh, and controllable by app, the solution is designed for film production, home backup, road trips, camping and more. It has a 2,048Wh capacity housed in a 16"-long body. Ports, buttons and screens are integrated on the front. It can connect up to 10 2,048Wh Power Expansion Battery 2000 units, boosting the capacity to 22,528 Wh.

In the event of a home power outage, the Power 2000 can maintain a 3,000-watt output until empty. With four AC output ports, four USB-C ports and four USB-A ports, the device enables simultaneous charging of multiple phones, tablets and high-power appliances. To recharge, users can select grid power, solar power, car power or Intelligent Hybrid Recharging, which prioritizes clean solar power. While using grid power, the Power 2000 can be combined with a solar or car connection, increasing the power station's output to 2,200 watts.

The DJI Power 2000 features an Uninterruptible Power Supply mode that ensures a continuous power supply even in the event of a sudden power outage. If an electrical device is connected to a powered-on DJI Power 2000 via the AC output port and both are receiving power, the device defaults to UPS mode ensuring the connected device (or devices) will continue to receive power within 0.01 seconds.

In Standard Recharge Mode, DJI Power 2000 is quieter than most household refrigerators, producing a sound no higher than 30dB. The lithium ferro phosphate battery retains 80-percent capacity after 4,000 cycles. At a rate of one full charge cycle a day, this would equate to around 10 years.

An intelligent battery-management system features 26 temperature sensors constantly monitoring heat dissipation; the device operates normally at temperatures up to 113°F. Additionally, 21 fuses provide circuit protection for each module. If the safety threshold for electricity usage is surpassed, the protective mechanism for power supply and recharging activates automatically.

The Power 2000 can be directly connected to the new DJI Home app, enabling users to remotely switch AC output on or off, adjust parameters and monitor the power status in real time.

The DJI Power 2000 lists for $1,899.
