Chapman/Leonard to Showcase 4 New Tools at NAB
The company will introduce two remote heads, the telescoping Miniscope 7/5 and the Cobra dolly/pedestal.
Chapman/Leonard will showcase four new products at NAB this year.
The CL Mini (pictured above) is a two- or three-axis remote head designed for use in tight spaces. Capable of repeatable moves, this digital head has special wheels for operation of all three axes. Compact yet capable of holding camera magazines of up to 1,000', this unit comes with a CL Battery Pack and chargers.
The M7 Remote Head is a carbon-fiber stabilized head that can be operated by joystick or hand wheels. A special Pan Bar System is optional. This unit has seven-axis capability, can make repeatable moves and features a wireless control system.
The telescoping Miniscope 7/5 Arm with Mini Base is designed for shooting in small areas. This compact unit features two adjustments to change the back lengths and built-in stops to prevent sudden and abrupt movement. The unit can be operated electronically or manually via one- or two-man operation. The handheld “pickle” allows for easy control of ramping, speed, starts and stops. A rear control handlebar allows for easy movement of the arm. A 30-volt DC Chapman Battery and AC/DC converter are included.
The Cobra is a lightweight, pneumatic column dolly/pedestal that offers both conventional and crab steering capabilities. The unit can carry payloads of up to 375 pounds and facilitate vertical travel of 39". The package includes straight and curved tracks.
