Cooke Introduces SP3 18mm Prime
The release completes the SP3 series, which is based on the legendary Cooke Speed Panchros. Cooke will celebrate the launch Sept. 19 with events in London, Burbank and Beijing.
Cooke Optics has introduced the SP3 18mm prime, completing its T2.4 SP3 series.
The close focus from the lens front is 123mm. The maximum diagonal angle of view for Full Frame as well as Super 35 are 99 degrees and 82 degrees, respectively. Weighing 24 ounces, the 18mm can be used on most gimbals, drones and other stabilizers. It has a maximum front diameter of 82mm and a filter-thread size of 77mm.
All SP3 lenses come with a native E-mount. Users can choose a second mount free of charge within 90 days of purchase: RF, E, L or M. These mounts can also be purchased as accessories and can be changed by the user.
The SP3 18mm lists for $4,995. The six-lens SP3 set lists for $25,995. A three-lens set comprising the 25mm, 50mm and 100mm focal lengths lists for $12,800.
On Sept. 19, Cooke will celebrate the 18mm launch and the first anniversary of the SP3 series with events in Burbank, London and Beijing. Registration is required.
