Cooke Opens Gallery, Test Space in London
The purpose-built test space enables cinematographers to test all Cooke lenses with a range of digital cameras.
Cooke has opened a gallery and test space in the heart of London’s Fitzrovia, 39 Newman Street, W1T 1QB.
The Cooke test space is a purpose-built facility where cinematographers and creatives can test all Cooke lenses on a range of digital cameras, including high-end cine and mirrorless. Cinematographers can change wall-surface textures or swap backgrounds for Colorama papers or greenscreen. The space utilizes asymmetric lights on dimmer controls to evenly key the background and backlight subjects. Also featured is an array of leading LED lighting options. A Da Vinci Resolve suite with HDR monitoring will be added soon, so cinematographers will be able to grade transcoded material or produce LUTs on site to review how Cooke lenses respond to their needs.
Registration is required to use the test space, which is open weekdays from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. To register, fill out the form on the Cooke website.
