DZOFilm Unveils Vespid 2
The T1.9 prime-lens series supports sensors up to 46.5mm, with additional compatibility for select medium-format systems.
DZOFilm’s Vespid 2 T1.9 prime-lens series incorporates new Definitive Precision Grinding ASPH with multi-layer nano coatings to minimize reflections and stray light. The series (18mm, 24mm, 35mm, 50mm, 85mm and 105mm) supports sensors up to 46.5mm, including Red V-Raptor VV, Arri Alexa LF and Sony Venice, with additional compatibility for select medium-format systems.
The optics suppress chromatic aberration for natural skin tones, while a 10-blade iris produces expressive bokeh. Enhanced distortion control across the series ensures consistent imagery in multi-camera setups. The Cooke/i protocol enables real-time metadata integration with Arri, Red, Blackmagic, Sony and Canon cameras. A five-pin Lemo interface supports future wireless follow-focus systems and professional accessories.
Weighing 28.2 ounces each with an 80mm front diameter and length, Vespid 2 primes are suited for use with DJI Ronin 4D, gimbals, handheld rigs and drones.
DZOFilm Vespid 2 primes list for $1,199-$1,299 each, and the six-lens set lists for $6,289.
