Hollyland Introduces Mars 4K, Mars M1
Unveiled at IBC 2022, the solutions address wireless video transmission, receiving and monitoring.
Hollyland has announced the Mars 4K UHD wireless video-transmission system and the Mars M1 wireless transmitter/receiver/monitor solution.
Supporting 4K UHD video transmission at 30 fps, the Mars 4K’s HDMI supports up to 3840x2160 30p and is also compatible with 1080p and 720p formats. It also supports decimal-point frame rates input from SDI (23.98, 29.97, 59.94) and output from HDMI and SDI. Its upgraded dual-core codec chip is capable of an 8-20 Mbps data rate, with 12 Mbps as the default. The device offers 450' LOS range and latency of 0.06s.
The Mars 4K’s design features disassembly-free antennas to facilitate fast configurations. Power-supply options include DC, batteries and USB-C chargers.
The Mars M1 “transceiver” features a 5.5" LCD color touchscreen and supports Rec. 709, professional color calibration and color-temperature adjustment. It comes with five 3D-LUT preset files. The device offers 450' LOS range and latency of 0.08s.
The Mars M1 supports 4K/30 fps HDMI input and output, SDI input, and DC power out for external devices. It features a USB-C interface for expanded connectivity. Auxiliary functions include 4x zoom, focus assist, exposure assist and waveform display. The Mars M1 is compatible with Hollyland’s Mars 4K, Mars 300 Pro, Mars 400s Pro and the future Mars Pro/4K series.
The Mars 4K lists for $699, and the Mars M1 lists for $549.
