Miller Tripods Introduces SkyX 8

The new fluid head for outdoor broadcast and studio productions replaces the Skyline 70.

ASC Staff

Miller Tripods has announced the SkyX 8, a fluid head designed for outdoor broadcast and studio productions that replaces the Skyline 70.

Delivering 16 positions of stepped counterbalance, with CB Plus and 120mm travel large Euro camera plate, the SkyX 8 offers fast, repeatable counterbalance. Constructed of lightweight die-cast alloy and rigid composite polymers, it’s well suited to rugged outdoor shooting conditions, delivering smooth pan-tilt fluid actions and symmetrical diagonals to match camera payloads up to 88 pounds.

The SkyX 8 is equipped with a 150mm claw ball, dual telescopic handles, two-side mounting points for viewfinders and accessories, and a Mitchell adaptable base.

The solution comes with a three-year warranty.

Miller Tripods will show the SkyX 8 at the 2023 NAB Show (Booth C4221) later this month. Shipping will begin in July.
