Nanlite Enhances Forza II, PavoTube Fixtures
Six Forza II spotlights and two PavoTubes will feature upgraded and new capabilities.
Nanlite has announced updates to its Forza II spotlights and PavoTube II 15C and 30C LED tube lights.
The new Forza 60 II and 60B II achieve almost 29 percent longer run times on battery power. They still run on AC with the included compact power supply, as well as on NP-F batteries with the included handgrip, or on V-Mount batteries with the BH-FZ60-V handgrip (sold separately) or the CB-DT/DC D-Tap Power Cable (sold separately). The spotlights now feature built-in Bluetooth and wireless 2.4G, allowing users to control them with the WS-RC-C2 Remote or WS-TB-1 Transmitter Box for larger setups (both sold separately). Other new features include locking, metal DMX ports that can be utilized with the CB-DMX-3.5C-1/2 adapter cable (sold separately) and quieter fans.
The new Forza 300 II and 300B II are 300-watt LED 5600K and bi-color spotlights with +/- 80 green-to-magenta adjustment. They produce highly accurate light with high CRI and TLCI ratings and include G/M adjustment thanks to their W(RG) and WW(RG) sources. The 300B II also has a light chamber like the one on the Forza 60C to properly manage the different colored LEDs. In addition, the yokes on Forza 300 II and 300B II have been redesigned to include single-sided, stepless locks that make it easy to accurately position and lock the lights in place. The yokes have a forward curve that allows greater tilting range when large modifiers are attached. They also now have umbrella mounts.
The fixtures’ Control Units have also been updated; they feature integrated power supplies and side-mounted V-Mount battery plates that are compatible with different sized and shaped batteries, and they’re fanless. Improvements have also been made to the included clamp for attaching the Control Units to light stands, and to the included head cables and power cables. The Control Units can operate on either one or two V-Mount batteries. The lights are also compatible with 14.4V-14.8V batteries.
The Forza 500 II and 500B II, which will begin shipping in April, will feature many of the improvements made to the 300 II series, including redesigned yokes and Control Units. They will also offer the ability to fine-tune dimming in 0.1% increments.
The updated PavoTube II 15C and 30C will be available individually and in 2- and 4-kits. They feature faster battery charging, longer internal battery life, brighter output, improved diffusion, and a PD3.0 USB-C port on the back for future firmware updates. (It also functions as an additional internal-battery-charging port.) They also offer built-in Bluetooth for direct control with the free NanLink app, and locking, metal DMX/RDM ports in an endcap that can be utilized with the CB-DMX-3.5C-1/2 adapter cable (sold separately).
