Nanlux Releases Evoke 5000B
The IP66-rated LED bi-color spotlight has a 5,000-watt power draw and a color-temperature range of 2,700-6,500K with ±80 Green/Magenta adjustment.
Nanlux has introduced the Evoke 5000B LED bi-color spotlight.
The IP66-rated fixture has a 5,000-watt power draw and a color-temperature range of 2,700-6,500K with ±80 Green/Magenta adjustment. Its output is comparable to that of a 9K HMI or 24K tungsten light; this is achieved with the newly developed Nebula B4 Light Engine, which combines four types of white light chips, providing Green/Magenta adjustment capability across the entire color-temperature range. A variety of wired- and wireless-control options are featured. A larger motorized Fresnel lens, a motorized yoke and a wired controller tailored for the Evoke 5000B are also being introduced.
The Evoke 5000B integrates the lamp head, control unit and power supply into one fixture and has just one cable, simplifying fixture management on set and on the road. Made of magnesium alloy, the solution weighs 101 pounds with yoke. Balance-adjusting rails on both sides enable flexible head positioning, maintaining a neutral center of gravity when different accessories are mounted. The motorized yoke includes a disc brake for secure angle fixation and precise positioning, with an angle display ideal for group setups. The NL mount features the new PosiTight system, providing dual security to ensure a tighter connection between the fixture and the accessory. Also featured is a skid that prevents wear by elevating the fixture, enhancing transport efficiency through a stackable design. Two front and back handles make it easier to set up or adjust the fixture even when it’s mounted in higher positions.
The Evoke 5000B adopts a 95-degree beam angle, making it suitable for lighting large areas without a modifier. It offers smooth dimming, especially from 0.0-0.1 percent brightness. A new High Speed Mode enables the fixture to switch from PWM to DC mode, maintaining stable and consistent brightness during high-frame-rate shooting.
Because the light-source module of the Evoke 5000B is the same physical size as that of the Evoke 2400B, adopting the NL mount makes the Evoke 5000B compatible with most accessories for the Evoke 2400B. The motorized Fresnel lens features a 17.7" lens with a 16-50-degree zoom range, delivering 47,970 lux at 16 degrees. The zoom range can be adjusted via the Fresnel lens button, fixture controls, wired (DMX, Ethernet) or wireless (Nanlink App 2.0, LumenRadio CRMX).
The Nanlux Evoke 5000B lists for $14,800-$15,500 (depending on packaging). The FL-45E Fresnel lens lists for $2,580. Both will begin shipping in March.
