
Red Launches V-Raptor XE
The streamlined version of the V-Raptor [X] will offer faster boot time, and an upcoming firmware update will enable more efficient use of the sensor.
Red Digital Cinema has announced the V-Raptor XE, a streamlined version of its V-Raptor [X] cinema camera.
The XE retains the 8K large-format (VV) global shutter sensor in the V-Raptor [X] series and will offer improved boot time as well as sensor optimization for more efficient use of power (via an upcoming firmware update). The XE is available with RF Mount or Nikon Z Mount.
The Red V-Raptor XE lists for $14,995 and can be preordered now. It will begin shipping in October.
