ROE Visual Unveils Obsidian
The LED display is designed specifically for ICVFX and semi-permanent or permanent installations.
ROE Visual has announced Obsidian, an LED display designed for in-camera use.
The solution was conceived with working LED stages in mind, making its ideal application semi-permanent and permanent installations. The panel’s reinforced frame design allows for the removal of LED modules at any time, facilitating the creation of access holes for additional equipment. The LED structure can be extended with an access platform of adjustable height to create easy access for technicians who need to work on the volume.
The panel features a 2.6mm pixel pitch, deep-black masking and 2,500-nit brightness; it uses 50-percent less power than a traditional LED panel at the same brightness, according to ROE Visual. In addition, the indoor panel has an IP63 rating for surface waterproofing.
ROE Visual will showcase Obsidian at NAB 2024 (Booth C4535).
