The 14mm F2.8 Ultra Wide Angle and 85mm F1.4 High Speed Telephoto lenses provide full-frame coverage and will be available later this month.
Rokinon has announced Series II 14mm F2.8 Ultra Wide Angle and 85mm F1.4 High Speed Telephoto lenses. Both lenses provide full-frame coverage and will be available in Canon EF, Nikon F, Sony E, Fujifilm X, MFT and Canon M mounts.
Based upon Rokinon’s original MF 85mm F1.4 and MF 14mm F2.8 lenses, the Series II models offer sleek, user-friendly designs and many new features. Both models include weather sealing, an aperture de-click switch for smooth and silent operation during video, a rubberized micro-pattern focusing grip, and a nine-blade circular aperture for greater bokeh. In addition, the focusing-control action has been modified with a smoother long throw for precise follow focus when shooting video.
The Series II 14mm delivers a 115.7° angle of view for full-frame cameras, with wide-angle views of approximately 94°/90°/76° (respectively) for APS-C/Canon APS-C/MFT sensor models. Its design utilizes seven specialized elements that include Hybrid Aspherical, HRI, Aspherical and ED types, plus UMC antireflective coatings. The lens hood is built in, and a soft lens pouch is included.
The Series II 85mm incorporates a Hybrid Aspherical element and UMC antireflective coatings. The F1.4 maximum aperture provides excellent low-light performance and precise selective focus with smooth bokeh. It comes equipped with a removable, reversible lens hood and soft lens pouch.
Both lenses will be available this month. The 14mm will list for $499, and the 85mm will list for $399.
