Shape Releases Lightweight Matte Box
An optional swing-away and height-adjustable rod bloc can be installed for better control, and an optional carbon-fiber french flag can be attached on top to prevent flares.
Shape has introduced a Lightweight Matte Box that provides a wide field of view for a variety of wide-angle lenses.
The silicone matte box is mounted on a CNC aluminum main frame with an outer diameter of up to 124mm. A single-filter-tray system with an easy-access handle facilitates one-handed filter change. The filter-tray system opens from the front by releasing the red safety pin. 4×4 filters can also be installed in the tray. The frame includes two stops at the bottom of the filter tray section to keep the filter from falling through.

The kit includes a series of adapter rings: 124-87mm clamp-on, and 87-82mm/87-77mm/87-72mm/87-67mm threaded-aluminum. Additional clamp-on adapter rings (124-114mm/124-104mm/124-100mm/124-95 mm) are sold separately.
