Adding almost 400,000 square feet of studio space located in Vancouver, Canada, the Sim Group has announced that it will integrate The Crossing Studios full-service studio and production facilities. It is the second largest studio in the lower mainland of Vancouver.
The Crossing Studios, founded by Dian Cross-Massey in 2015, will continue to stay open, adding services available through Sim to expand their camera, lighting and grip offerings.
In addition to easy access to nearby Vancouver International Airport as well as a number of local suppliers, The Crossing Studios facilities include nine buildings located within 30 minutes of downtown Vancouver. The Crossing Studios also has postproduction services including Avid suite rentals, DIT and dailies correction, color grading and high speed networking. Previous clients include Viacom, Fox, Nickelodeon, Lifetime, Sony Pictures, NBCUniversal and ABC.

Sim operates facilities in Los Angeles, Toronto, Ontario, Atlanta and New York. The company’s teams and services have supported recent productions including Deadpool, OJ: Made in America, Game of Thrones, Mr. Robot, Stranger Things and Handmaid’s Tale.

Following the acquisition of Crossing Studios, Sim Group rebranded to Sim this last October. Sim offers four divisions for end-to-end production services: Studios, Camera, Lighting & Grip, and Post.
