British producers Simon Vaughan and Damian Keogh have announced The Story Works, a film and television studio built on the 22-acre site of the historic Mortlake Brewery, Upper Richmond Road, London SW14.

The studio’s founders also include independent U.S. studio Fifth Season (formerly Endeavor Content) and Kwame Kwei-Armah, the outgoing artistic director of The Young Vic.

The Story Works includes two soundstages — one 17,480 square feet, the other 8,120 square feet — as well as a 50,000-square-foot outdoor backlot, a covered workshop space and 20,000 square feet of supporting production offices and facilities. For two years the site hosted a large outdoor standing set of Victorian East London docks and backstreets for the upcoming Disney+ series A Thousand Blows.

The studio is a 25-minute drive from Heathrow Airport and a 20-minute train ride from London Waterloo station.
