Tiffen Introduces 4 Solutions
Blue Streak, Black Fog and Night Fog filters and a Magnetic Rear-Mount Filter System for Arri Signature lenses are now available.
The Tiffen Co. has introduced Blue Streak, Black Fog and Night Fog filters, as well as a Magnetic Rear-Mount Filter System for Arri Signature lenses.
The Tiffen Blue Streak Filter is a special-effects filter designed to render a blue light ray from a point light source, creating the classic look of an anamorphic lens. Tiffen ColorCore Technology encapsulates parallel optical elements within the filter. Rotating the filter allows the user to adjust the angle and direction of the streak of the light ray. The filter is constructed from clear optical-grade glass.
Tiffen Black Fog Filters provide an overall atmospheric softening that creates a smooth, wide flare from the highlights while keeping blacks black without muting colors or losing detail in shadows.
Tiffen Night Fog Filters yield a natural fog effect with overall atmospheric softening and wide flare coupled with contrast-reduction technology that reduces highlights without darkening shadows.
Developed with Arri, Tiffen’s Magnetic Rear-Mount Filter System for Arri Signature Prime and Zoom lenses offers a wide range of diffusion-filter types, including Black Fog, Night Fog, Black Pro-Mist, Antique Black Pearlescent, Antique Pearlescent, Antique Satin, Smoque and Glimmerglass. As with front-of-the-lens filters, Tiffen rear filters come in grades of 1/8-2.
