Tilta Introduces 2 Solutions
The Nucleus Auto Focus Adapter and a cage designed for several Sony cameras are now available.
The Tilta Nucleus Auto Focus Adapter is designed to integrate with the Nucleus-M II and Nano II Wireless Lens Control Systems and converts fully manual cinema glass into responsive autofocus lenses. The E-Mount to PL-Mount adapter utilizes the native phase-detection autofocus data directly from the sensor of the Sony FX3, FX30 or FX6 and other supported cameras and translates the camera’s autofocus information into precise motor-driven focus movements via the Nucleus ecosystem. The solution is compatible with Sony’s Alpha and FX line up to the Sony FX6.
A built-in lens-profile library eliminates calibration for supported lenses; users with supported lenses can select their lens from the menu and start shooting right away. For unsupported or specialty lenses, manual calibration allows users to map and save new lenses to the library. These lenses can be mapped directly through the UI on the adapter itself.
Instant AF/MF override allows users to take manual control for precise focus pulls or creative racks, then release to return control to autofocus. When using the system with two wireless motors, users can adjust the iris via the camera’s electronic control.
Tilta has also introduced a cage for Sony Alpha 7V, 7IV and 7R V cameras. The full or half cage features an adjustable, sliding design for a secure fit across multiple bodies. With 1/4"-20 mounting points, cold shoe receivers and a dual-direction Arca-Swiss baseplate, it simplifies accessory mounting and tripod or gimbal transitions. The included Xeno Top Handle expands mounting options for monitors, microphones and other accessories.
