Timelapse+ Releases View 1.8, Adds USB Camera Driver
The company is also seeking users to beta-test View support for DJI Ronin S and SC gimbals.
Timelapse+ has released View v1.8, a firmware update for its intervalometer that adds support for several new camera platforms and includes a new USB camera driver called Core. Core is also available for purchase separately.
View v1.8 features support for Canon EOS and EOS R, Nikon DSLR and Z, Fuji X and GFX, Olympus and Panasonic cameras. Other improvements include the ability to make live adjustments to time-lapse parameters across a series of frames and the ability to create daily start/stop times for weekly schedules.
Additionally, the auto-ramping starting exposure has been decoupled from the post-transition exposure, meaning that if there are blown highlights due to a backlit scene at sunset, the night exposure won’t also be blown out. Instead, the post-transition exposure is based on an absolute luminance preset and can be adjusted. Also new is support for the eMotimo ST4 using a USB data adapter cable.
The new camera driver, Core, is ideal for applications in which high-performance USB camera control across a broad range of cameras is needed. It specifically improves support for Sony cameras, shortening the time it takes for first- and second-generation Sony cameras to save images to the SD card while connected via USB.
Timelapse+ has also announced it is seeking users to beta-test View support for DJI Ronin S and SC gimbals. For further information, contact [email protected].
