Venus Optics Unveils 2 Solutions
The Laowa Sunlight Anamorphic Zoom Series and the Laowa 180mm Ultra Macro APO lens are now available.
Venus Optics has introduced the Laowa Sunlight T4.5 2x FF Anamorphic Zoom Series and the 180mm f/4.5 1.5x Ultra Macro APO lens.
The Laowa Sunlight Series, comprising a 40-80mm and a 70-135mm, achieves its 2x anamorphic character through a front anamorphic design while maintaining a compact, lightweight build. A calibrated parfocal design ensures consistent focus throughout the zoom range.
The lenses are available in four Cinematic Flare options: classic sci-fi blue, warm amber, adaptable silver and clear. The intuitive lens-flare ring indicates the selected color.
The Laowa Sunlight Series lists for $10,999, or $5,999 per lens. Interchangeable bayonets for mirrorless cameras (RF, E, Z and L mount) list for $50 each.
The Laowa 180mm Ultra Macro APO lens combines a 1.5x magnification, advanced apochromatic optics and a compact form factor. It offers a minimum focusing distance of 1'. Features include autofocus on selective mount options.
The Laowa 180mm Ultra Macro lists for $499.
