Viltrox Unveils AF 35mm F1.2 Prime
The patented Quad HyperVCM autofocus system enables the lens to dynamically adjust lens groups to compensate for spherical aberration and field curvature.
Viltrox has released the AF 35mm F1.2 LAB FE prime lens.
The lens features Viltrox’s patented Quad HyperVCM autofocus system, which enables it to dynamically adjust lens groups to compensate for spherical aberration and field curvature. At its 13.4" minimum-focus distance, it captures macro-level details with edge-to-edge sharpness.
The lens’ 15-element optical system combines five extra-low dispersion segments, three high-refractive-index elements, and two ultra-large precision aspherical lenses. Smooth bokeh is achievable even at F1.2. A Nano-Hydrophobic Multi-Coating minimizes flare and ghosting in challenging lighting.
A dedicated focus ring enables users to switch between stepped and stepless aperture control. When users pair it with the Viltrox Lens App, they can set button functions and LCD startup animations and monitor real-time parameters. The lens also features a 0.96" LCD display for quick access to critical settings.
The Viltrox AF 35mm F1.2 LAB FE lists for $999.
