Zeiss Announces Aatma Primes
The full-frame T1.5 cine lenses can be ordered now and will begin shipping in June.
Zeiss has announced Aatma full-frame T1.5 cinema prime lenses.
Comprising 18mm, 25mm, 35mm, 40mm, 50mm, 65mm, 85mm, 100mm and 135mm focal lengths, the Aatmas (derived from the Sanskrit word for “innermost essence”) offer image characteristics that recall classic Zeiss optics, including softly painted skin texture with reduced contrast, smooth focus transitions between planes, and a bokeh with a subtle soap-bubble effect. The lenses retain the form factor, size, weight and operability of Zeiss’ current cine lenses. They come equipped with Zeiss Extended Data technology and are fully integrated into the Zeiss CinCraft ecosystem, supporting workflows for visual effects, camera tracking and virtual production.
Zeiss Aatma lenses are available as a complete set or individually. They can be ordered now and will begin shipping in June 2026.
