On Instagram, Mindel will in part be documenting his journey to China to shoot the sci-fi feature Pacific Rim: Uprising for director Steven S. DeKnight.
Mindel's recent credits include Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Star Trek, Star Trek Into Darkness and The Amazing Spider-Men 2.
