On Saturday, May 19, from 9:00am to 4:00pm, J.L. Fisher will host their 12th Annual Open House and BBQ event in Burbank, Calif., which is free to the public and will feature exhibits and presentations by an impressive array of guilds, manufacturers and organizations.

Presented by members of the SOC, ICG Local 600, (Camera Guild) and Local 80 (Grips), this seminar will focus on the working relationships between the cinematographer, camera operator, 1st AC, key grip and dolly grip when using dollies and jib arms. Moderated by Jon D. Witmer, managing editor American Cinematographer.

This lively Q&A session will feature a panel of exceptional directors of photography who will be happy to answer any and all questions from the audience and share their experience and expertise. Moderated by Bill Bennett, ASC, the panel is scheduled to include Society members Oliver Bokelberg, Steven Fierberg, Gil Hubbs, Stephen Lighthill, Donald A. Morgan, John Newby, Daniel Pearl, Jaron Presant, Ueli Steiger and John Toll. (Subject to availability.)
